Judo Program for Autism
Research Assistant
I had the honor work under Dr. Jeanette Garcia research study. Judo is a research-based study that incorporate children who has autism spectrum disorder with intermediate karate. The goal is to promote physical activity among ASD to improve social skills, decrease pattern behaviors and anxiety. I helped observed the kids and take notes on their behavior and interact with the sensei and their peers, family throughout the whole session. This study has expanded my knowledge on ASD and taught me ways on how to handle and recognize behaviors of ASD correctly.

Autism Spectrum Disorder: Does Stress Impacts Their Social Skills
I had the opportunity to come up with my own research within the T-LEARN program at UCF. Upon reading multiple articles from my principal investigator, I had found a gap that I wanted to pursue and see for myself. My research was about determining if stress impact children with ASD social skills. To read more about my research, my proposal is link down below.
L.E.A.R.N
LEARN is a research program that is given to a small group of transfer and freshman. I gained knowledge and understanding about research and networking. I was taught how to properly email professors for research, create a CV, conduct my own research and attend 2022 research symposium that was hosted by UCF. This program has benefitted by a lot me because I still use all the resources that has been given to me to this day.
Clinical Research Project
A group project about FAS among children within the age of 2-5 years. The goal was to establish whether daily choline bitartrate administration can be used as a potential treatment for brain development and cognitive performance in children with prenatal alcohol exposure.
